The City of Los Angeles recently passed Ordinance 183893, which requires most pre-1978 wood-frame Soft-Story buildings and non-ductile concrete buildings to be seismically retrofitted.

Without proper strengthening, these vulnerable buildings may be subjected to structural failure during and/or after an earthquake.

The initial inspection, the multiple city inspections, deputy inspections, onsite tenants, administrative needs, vendor sequencing (concrete pumping, steel work, dumpsters, asbestos abatement, etc), and all other additional pieces required to take a soft story project from start to finish are all factored into our successful soft story strategy.
